Sanguine Alpha

This is the test world for the new Sanguine client. It is a separate server with separate accounts, so nothing you do here touches your character on the live game, and your normal Sanguine install is left alone.

Download the alpha launcher

About 140 KB. It downloads the client itself and updates it every time you start it.

Getting started

  1. Install Java 11: Temurin 11 from adoptium.net. It has to be 11 - newer versions will not run the client.
  2. Run the launcher. On Windows, double-click it. On macOS or Linux, open a terminal in the folder you saved it to and run:
    java -jar sanguine-launcher-alpha.jar
    If Java 11 is not your default, give its full path. On macOS that is usually /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/temurin-11.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java -jar sanguine-launcher-alpha.jar
  3. Log in with any username and password. A new name makes a new account.

The first start downloads the game files from the server, so give it a few minutes.

Found a bug?

Type ::bug in game to open the report form, write what happened and send it. It goes straight to the server log along with where you were standing. Screenshots are welcome too.

Known gaps: the World Switcher and the hiscores panel still read the live site, and Discord sign-in does not work here - use a username and password.
